I have run my business for the last 16 years. I create branding for small businesses. Print design, web design Marketing plans and implementation. I am moving towards creating my own informational products and am thinking that I would do it exactly as you advise. Start small to test the waters, then when get some interest follow it up by generating more info in another medium. I am trying to focus on a small niche market and survey them, get feedback and then build on the responses.

Stacy:

I wholeheartedly agree! It's tempting to want assume success before it's been proven. But, so much unnecessary heartache can follow.

Perhaps "small plates" are popular right now for a reason. Try a little sashimi, a little braised pork, a little fried goat cheese before you fully commit.

And I would venture to suggest that this approach can work well in many areas of our lives. Reminds me of that age old idea of "all things in moderation."

Thanks for all your posts -- I can always count on them being chock full of excellent info.
